The Rite of Becoming Trustworthy

Perform this on any day. A full moon may amplify the work.

Begin at the Ninth Hour of the Day.

Cleanse your hands. Ground your body.

Stand before the image of Magdalene.

Say:

“AY-OWE-TH, AY-OO-TH, AH-OTH,

Names that echo through fire and form,

I do not call to bind another,

I call to unbind myself from fear.”

“Let every false mask fall away.

Let my words be aligned with my heart.

Let my presence become calm water

In which others see themselves clearly.”

“By PHAYUS, by PHOE, by OOTH,

I ask not for dominion,

But for coherence—

That what I speak, I live.

That what I promise, I keep.

That what I carry, I carry honestly.”

“May those who meet me feel no hidden blade,

No crooked mirror,

No unseen hook.

May trust arise not from illusion,

But from resonance.”

Pause. Place your hand over your chest.

Then say:

“As Magdalene walks from burning stone,

So I walk from deception.

I become a place of rest.

I become a name that does not fracture.

I become someone worthy of trust.”

Close with:

“As this intention comes in peace,

So let it remain in peace.”
