✦ The Witch, the Whore, and the Algorithm ✦

by Lucille Alabaster | Lucy’s Inferno

They burned the witches.
They crucified the whores.
Now they shadowban the truth.

Every era has its Inquisition — it just changes platforms.
Once, the tools of control were fire and rope.
Now, they’re algorithms and terms of service.

The witch and the whore were never enemies. They were sisters in the same rebellion — women who understood power through the body, through symbol, through current. They spoke in the language of intuition and flesh, of vision and seduction. The patriarchy called it sin because it couldn’t quantify it.

Today, that same energy has gone digital. The algorithm has replaced the priesthood.
It decides whose beauty is visible, whose pain is profitable, and whose voice gets turned down to silence. It rewards the illusion of freedom while punishing the raw pulse of truth. The witch posts her rituals; the whore sells her glamour. Both are still punished for knowing how to turn energy into influence.

We think we’ve evolved beyond the gallows, but we’ve just traded them for the feed.
Our new stake is the scroll — and the fire burns through our dopamine instead of our flesh.

But here’s the revelation:
Every time a woman uses her image as spellwork, every time she profits from her power instead of hiding it, every time she builds her own altar in code and pixels — she resurrects the ancient covenant between the witch and the whore.

They were never fallen.
They were evolving.

And the algorithm, no matter how clever, will never outsmart the Current that made it. https://magdelenalillibet.com/
