Blac Chyna’s Transformation Attempt

Blac Chyna, a model and socialite, has faced allegations of sex trafficking, which have caused damage to her reputation. Rumors of Chyna’s involvement in sex trafficking that have been circulating since last year, fueled by a video of her refusing to let a drunken girl leave her Sacramento hotel room.

In early August, TikTok creator Ava Louise accused Chyna of holding her hostage in her mansion, where she was required to sign an NDA, drink with Chyna, and not allowed to be alone. The accusations are not new as rumors of Chyna’s involvement in sex trafficking circulated last year.

However, Chyna has recently undergone a rebranding, changing her name back to Angela Renée White, her birth name. She also underwent a physical transformation, removing all of her facial fillers and an occult tattoo, and getting baptized, announcing her Christian rebirth.

White’s rebranding presents a reflection of how public personas in the Kardashian era are contextualized by their audience. While White’s transformation has been well-received by the public, it has also attracted praise from far-right pundits representing various grifting organizations who are keen to use her newfound faith for proselytizing their own brand of Christian nationalism.

The transformation may suggest an attempt to remove herself from the sex trafficking allegations and to make a positive change in her life, as she has publicly stated that her kids prompted her shift.
